The Maitland Office Plaza houses our highly skilled teams that support our hospital system including Marketing, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Management, the Credit Union and Human Resources.
The Trickle Building, a two-story office structure, creates an atmosphere of health and healing, with a healthy-style café and quaint chapel.
The main lobby is filled with lush greenery and a light trickle of water, creating a holistic environment.
The role you’ll contribute:
The accountant’s primary responsibilities are to ensure that all financial transactions are properly stated, amount is correct and financial statement classification is accurate. The accountant must be able to effectively communicate the results of their entries, providing explanations and support for booked amounts. Each month, there is a financial statement close process, and the accountant must meet all related deadlines. During the remaining portion of each month, the accountant will work on various projects, which may include reconciling all assigned balance sheet classes, working with internal and external auditors, preparing and submitting all forms related to tax, corporate, regulatory, and community benefits.

Gathers and analyzes financial statement information to prepare month end journal entries for all assigned financial classes, cost center, and entities. Ensures that all entries to the financial statements and subsidiary ledgers, from any source system, are approved and posted to the correct location.
Supports the monthly close process, always meeting deadlines, and getting answers for questionable amounts.
Routinely reconciles assigned balance sheet classes to a lead schedule and reports issues to department leaders.
Participates in internal and external audits, providing explanations and support for the financial statements.
Completes all assigned regulatory, tax, community benefit, budget, and AHS forms on time and without errors. Makes judgment decisions on forms as needed, for example, building entire budget for an entity.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Four (4) year accounting degree, or four (4) year non-accounting degree with adequate accounting course work including intermediate accounting and other upper level financial and accounting courses.
