Cloud Services Director to join our team remotely.
About the role: The Director of Cloud Services directs and leads the teams that support all public cloud services at Premise Health. Responsibilities include the management, mentoring, and leadership of technical resources, as well as identification and implementation of innovative ways to effectively incorporate architected solutions and technologies into the public cloud environment that deliver the best possible experience for the enterprise. The role partners closely with the IT Infrastructure, Security, Development, Applications, and Data and Engineering teams, as well as Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture to ensure optimal product lifecycle and ultimately exceptional business enablement.
Essential Functions: - Lead by example.
- Be seen as a partner for all of those around the position including both business and technology stakeholders.
- Responsible for public cloud strategy, design, implementations, and 24x7 operations.
- Assist the VP team to create and execute the departmental vision and strategy, aligned to the business.
- Develop strategic plans and practices that support integrated and progressive cloud services and operations to best meet current and future business needs.
- Define and implement industry best practices, processes, and standards.
- Maintain documentation and governance over cloud architecture and patterns, ensuring alignment to security policy, enterprise architecture, and operational best practices.
- Develop a scalable operations model with a well-documented roadmap, goals, and objectives.
- Design and implement innovative and robust processes and system management practices; maintain applicable certifications and standards.
- Responsible for Cloud software asset management, software license management, and software and hardware support contracts and associated procurement and renewals.
- Define, manage, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage all aspects of the Cloud and Operations business, including onboarding, spend management, savings plans, budget, & cost allocation.
- Ensure monitoring, measuring, and reporting of service performance against service level objectives, customer satisfaction and financial goals.
- Ensure appropriate systems and service continuity plans are defined, in place and successfully exercised regularly.
- Continuously improve operations and performance across all service areas.
- Manage overall staffing for Cloud Services.
- Develop new management talent and succession plans.
- Communicate company and departmental vision, expectations, goals, deadlines, and motivate others through inspirational leadership
- Build a high performing team through staff development, recruiting and retention to support growing business needs
- Ensure proper negotiation with vendors and make recommendations on strategic and tactical decisions concerning cloud technologies and services
- Assist with development of and manage to OPEX and CAPEX budget
- Other duties as assigned to support the business.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent work experience
- Public cloud certifications preferred, not required
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in overall IT, with at least five in public cloud management for large organizations.
- Strong track record of managing and directing senior professionals, and to provide coaching and mentoring to help them realize their potential and to maximize their value to the organization.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
- Experience developing architectural diagrams, strategies, and roadmaps
- Experience presenting to senior-level executives and technical audiences
- Healthcare industry work experience is preferred, but not required
Preferred Experience: - Detailed understanding of public cloud architectural principles and strategies, as well as cloud computing, architectural design and implementation, and cloud operational support.
- Firm understanding of project management which includes resource alignment, understanding project requirements, roles and responsibilities, work processes, and communication and project plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to see the long-term vision.
- Organizationally savvy, with the ability to navigate organizational politics.
- Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making.
- Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills
- Understanding of emerging technology trends/disruptions and their practical application to new and existing technologies.
- Knowledge of various aspects of enterprise technology architecture like business, information, data, network, and security
- Excellent understanding of application support and development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture
- Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
- Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
- Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Knowledge of various database technologies
- Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements
- Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
- Ability to work creatively and analytically to solve business problems and propose solutions
- Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies

Compensation is between $135,000 to $200,000 annually. Premise offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time team members including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, annual CEU/CME allowance, and Tuition Reimbursement. Benefits offered to part-time team members include 401K, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and annual CEU/CME allowance. PRN team members may also enroll in 401K.
