General Description of the Job Class
This position will provide administrative direction and oversight of DUHS Clinical Contract Labor Program to include nursing and non-nursing clinical positions. The position will manage day to day operations, oversees all contracts, ensures staff meet all compliance standards, maintains relationship with vendors, and oversees payroll for contact staff. This position also supervises agency coordinators.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Manage the overall day to day operations of the DUHS Contract Labor Program including working directly with staffing agency partners and DUHS Leadership on candidate selection, facilitate the hiring process by extending offers and negotiating contract terms, and submitting approved Labor Management Requests into B4Health.
Manage DUHS Contract Labor contracts, help facilitate contract negotiations between Duke Procurement and staffing agency partners, and monitor staffing agency partners' performance.
Monitor regulatory compliance of credentialing of all contract labor files for regulatory review and validate credentialing for DUHS Case Management contract labor staff.
Oversee various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other related activities for DUHS Contract Labor administrative team.
Developed and implemented a new tracking tool to improve operational efficiencies and reporting for DUHS Senior Leadership on open traveler requests.
Provide overall management and coordination of departmental business functions such as budget and variance reporting, finance, contract/vendor management, space and facilities planning, maintenance and policy interpretation for the Assistant Vice President, Nursing.
Manage and reconcile contract labor payment for DUHS, track contract labor hours
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Experience
Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
