The Software Training Specialist is responsible for configuring, testing, delivering solutions, and for training and supporting end-users on software and solutions utilized in the clinical and operational/business setting.
The Software Training Specialist will have a diverse set of responsibilities and be required to work closely with all members of the Surgical Sciences administrative team to deliver solutions and training on software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Smartsheet, ThinkCell and others. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, attentive to detail, experienced in delivering technology training to non-technical audiences, flexible and comfortable working in a large healthcare environment.
Uses learning theory and technical knowledge to create an educational experience for learners that successfully teaches them new information or improves their skill level on various software applications.
This position provides an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching with an enthusiasm for technology development to create positive customer relationships. We're looking for someone with software expertise, excellent communication skills and proven technology training experience.
Deliver end-user training for developed products including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheet, ThinkCell, Zoom, Power BI, Tableau & OneDrive for Business.
Provide ad-hoc training and consult support "On-Demand" for end users with issues, questions regarding software tools, capabilities, and functions.
Provide expert level advice from an IT training perspective and is function as the subject matter expert in training of various software applications.
Develop and implement learning strategies, demonstrate use of applications, conduct train-the-trainer and end user training, and provide special training courses as needed.
Meet with faculty and staff to collect information and data required to deliver software solutions (such as Smartsheet, Visio etc.) based on the end user's needs.
Collaborate with management and business partners to gather requirements and feedback to successfully design and deliver effective training materials based on the information gathered.
Work collaboratively with other IT group members to ensure optimal software application functionality.
Knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
Knowledge of healthcare organization information systems processes.
Excellent presentation skills.
Excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal, and written.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work productively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
