In compliance with applicable State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period.
Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Healthcare executive and Supply Chain leader to join MSK as Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations.
Scope
- Responsible for over $2B in annual transactions with 2,300 unique suppliers
- Responsible for the operational direction and oversight for procure-to-pay, data/systems analytics, supply chain systems and applications, supplier diversity, supply chain risk management, and financial performance management within the supply chain
- Provide leadership, ongoing training, and development for a team of 40+ employees who lead initiatives that improve or reinforce supply chain best practices and financial stewardship
- Maintain financial stewardship and oversee the planning, tracking, and annual submission of the supply chain budget
Operations Management
- Leadership, decision rights, and administrative oversight of:
- Procure-to-Pay in collaboration with Accounts Payable
- Data/systems analytics, reporting, and metrics
- Supply chain systems and applications
- Supply chain financial management
- Project management
- Supplier Diversity Program
- Risk management
- Administrative operations: communications, payroll, etc.
Business Relationship Management
- Understands the needs of internal clients and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive and Senior Leaders, across the enterprise
- Exercises best practices in supplier relationship management and is able to cultivate and maintain key relationships with industry leaders
- Leads communication efforts and effectively relays organizational strategies and updates on Supply Chain activities throughout the institution
- Represents MSK Supply Chain and markets our accomplishments to the industry
Planning, Budgeting, and Tracking
- Oversees all budget activities including the planning, tracking, and submission of the annual supply chain budget to corporate finance
- Collaborates with other supply chain functional leaders on the documentation, management, tracking, and reporting of departmental budgets
- Establishes the operational standards and best practices for all functions with direct oversight
- Develops, documents, and governs all policies, procedures, and other related artifacts and the standardized repository
Talent Management
- Attracts, develops, and retains a strong talent base
- Establishes a culture of service, where service level agreements are developed, measured, and reported
- Conducts annual reviews with all direct reports and discusses career development
- Ensures compliance with required training and education assignments
Operational Governance
- Develops and implements applicable audit measures to ensure and report on internal compliance metrics
- Establishes intake, evaluation, prioritization, and tracking methods for operational needs including new program requests, sourcing/contract requests, budget variances, etc.
You have:
- 10+ years of experience in role(s) requiring strategic and operational focus on supply chain functions involving complex analysis and project management
- Subject matter expertise in supply chain management and purchasing
- Experience working in healthcare supply chain procurement, risk management, governance, and supplier diversity
- Knowledge of and experience in healthcare contract management and sourcing
- Proven experience leading complex teams
*This is a hybrid position and requires flexibility to be on-site in NYC.
Pay Range: $228,100.00-$388,000.00
