The role you’ll contribute:
Participates in the planning of work relating to the processing of accounting documents. Ensures that documents and data are accurate and correctly processed through various accounting systems according to established standards in accordance with the hospitals mission, vision goals and management expectations.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
• Make sure invoices and check requests get to Shared Services in a timely fashion
• Processes non-standard and recurring payments
• Directs flow of invoices and identify cost centers or approving personnel
• Manages review and processing of non-employed physician payments
• Orders Department Supplies
• Assists as needed with expense report processing
• Performs other Bookkeeper functions as needed in the Accounting office (i.e. invoice billing to outside agencies, bank transfers, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and other needed tasks)
• Maintains confidentiality of information
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
• Ability to read text and numbers in English, with demonstrated ability to comprehend, measure, reason, match and problem solve
• Ability to learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices
• Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within AdventHealth guidelines and applicable regulations
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective and professional manner
• Critical thinking / problem solving skills
• Teamwork, tact and conflict resolution
• Organizational / multitasking skills
• Must be able to read, write, speak and have good comprehension of conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Two years of experience in Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable or related field
High School Grad or Equiv
