DescriptionSummary:This position answers, in rapid succession, a large volume of emergency and non-emergency calls, transferring calls appropriately by operating the centralized telephone switchboard, and answering radio traffic for transport calls. Calls consults for the Emergency Medicine physicians as requested either via phone call or EPIC. Answers the operator phone line for outside calls from the public, into the health system. Handles overhead paging duties for codes, pages, etc. Dispatches transportation and other requests as needed. Monitors the transportation board and the specimen/courier tracking system. The specialist will monitor for emergency codes, initiating overhead paging and/or notifying the appropriate emergency code g
