Serves as the director over materials management and transportation services. Ensures cost effective delivery of materials, alignment of vendor resources, capital planning and cost accounting analysis, supply cost reduction, product standardization, charge master maintenance, review and analysis of product information, negotiation of purchasing agreements, oversight of day to day operations, implementing and monitoring of polices, procedures and the centralized computer materials management system. Responsible for the purchase, receipt, accountability, storage, issue, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Manages purchasing, transportation, print room, mail room, storeroom, central distribution, receiving and shipping, and storage of surplus equipment. Assumes 24-hour accountability for delivery of materials. Utilizes patient care process, management theory, and organizational skills in accomplishing goals. Provides administrative direction to the development of the Patient Care and Medical Center Management team. This position will require access to legend and non-legend drugs and will require ethical standards related to medication storage and security. The security and storage requirements must be maintained at all times to prevent diversion from the organization as well as ensuring product integrity.

Bachelors Required; Masters preferred.
