Shift: Monday-Thursday, 8am-5p, Friday 8am-12pm

• More than 800 physicians, 450+ advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services. 
• AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Speech Therapist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with Florida Speech Pathology Association standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 486.021 (S): “Speech Pathologist means a person who is licensed and who practices speech therapy in accordance with this chapter.

The value you’ll bring to the team: (job responsibilities from JD)

• The Speech-Language Therapist will practice within Scope of Standards of Physical Medicine Practice.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to patients’ health or situation. Performs consults as indicated from database collection.
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine course of treatment.
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
• The patient’s Plan of Care is developed to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements the identified plan.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum requirements:

• Master’s degree in speech therapy 
• Current State of Florida State License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence via The FL DOH, Board of Speech Pathology
• BLS certification

Preferred qualifications: 

• Two years of clinical experience with a varied patient population
• Head and Neck experience strongly preferred
