Department Overview
The Financial Planning department partners with managers to create the annual Operating and Capital budgets and assists with variance analysis of actual activity versus budgeted activity. This department also provides to all levels of management program profitability reporting, financial information, and analysis to support organizational and departmental decisions.
Position Summary
The Manager of Financial Planning will be responsible to provide direction to financial analysts, develop and maintain the annual financial plan and any mid year adjustments to the plan, develop and manage the process of routine reviews of actual results against the plan to help the organization achieve its financial objectives, and provide ad-hoc analysis and lead various improvement projects.
* B.S. in Finance or Accounting * MBA in Finance or CPA preferred, but not required * Minimum 3 years of financial analysis experience * Minimum 3 years of healthcare financial analysis experience * Highly proficient in Excel; solid proficiency in Power Point * Highly proficient in the planning and reporting system (currently hyperion) * ERP System experience (PeopleSoft preferred) * Minimum 3 years Budgeting experience * Ability to work independently * Good judgment, strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent prioritization and organizational skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Demonstrated success communicating at all levels of the organization * Ability to handle conflicting priorities related to meeting tight deadlines * Ability to work extended hours during peak workloads * Ability to manage and direct the work of analysts in the FP&A function
