Summary:
The Configuration Engineer maintains and manages current and future client device infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintains and manages current and future client device infrastructures.
2. Responsible for documentation, testing, change control, and effective communication of team activities, goals, and objectives across the organization.
3. Responsible for SCCM environment activities including administering and monitoring the SCCM infrastructure and creating/testing/deploying collections, packages, and advertisements to both server and desktop OS platforms
4. Responsible for overall architecture of Microsoft Intune environment for organizational mobile device management (MDM), including Windows, iOS/iPadOS/macOS, and Android devices.
5. Responsible for providing technical assistance in order to ensure continued success of Telehealth platform, including using and knowledge of telehealth video-conferencing solutions and software on desktops and mobile devices.
6. Responsible for compatibility testing activities, including testing to ensure base image is compatible with all software and new hardware, including future OS-capable (ex: Windows 11) environments.
7. Responsible for security activities, including coordination installation of security patches and OS patches managing and securing desktops through GPOs, least privilege user management, full desktop encryption, and Windows Firewall ensuring Active Directory and Group Policy Objects follow a documented architecture and creating and maintaining standards for desktop and server anti-virus protection.
8. Responsible for adhering to departmental goals relating to software and security patch rollout success percentages, remediations as necessary, and understanding of deploying to a sensitive environment with strict, negotiated downtimes.
9. Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1. Experience with both Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems and network elements (ex: DNS, DHCP, Active Directory) is required.
2. Experience with systems management software (ex: SCCM) is required.
3. Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms (ex: Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE/AirWatch, JAMF, MobileIron, MaaS360) is required.
4. Experience with scripting technology (ex: VBScript, PowerShell, PowerShell ADT) is required automated and API solutions (ex: Microsoft Graph or Microsoft Power BI) is preferred.
5. Experience with least privilege access platforms and methodology, desktop/server patching, and anti-virus solutions is preferred.
6. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
7. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar software, is required.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
2. Certification: None.
3. Years of relevant experience: 3-5 years is preferred.
4. Years of experience supervising: None.
