The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for using diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various medical conditions. Sonography is the use of sound waves to generate an image for assessment and diagnosis. Must specialize in vascular specialty. Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical sonographic diagnoses. Has latitude for independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative. Assists physicians as requested and selects practical application and technical factor
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Demonstrates competency in Peripheral Vascular diagnostics, including performing:
1.vascular studies (arterial studies of the upper and lower arms)
2.venous studies of the upper and lower arms
3.cerebrovascular studies
4.abdominal vascular studies
5.graft imaging
6.hemodialysis access
7.thoracic outlet syndrome
8.cold sensitivity tests
9.temporal artery ultrasound
·Recognizes normal and abnormal vascular anatomy and physiology.
·Able to generate a preliminary report.
·Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
·Accurately records verbal and telephone vascular orders from physicians in the patient record.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·High school diploma or equivalent
·Graduate of an AMA approved vascular program.
·Registered under the ARDMS (RVT) guidelines
·BLS certification
Preferred qualifications:
·Four (4) years vascular ultrasound experience
