Full Time - Days – Exempt. On-site position in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Position Summary:
Assists the strategy department and executive leadership in the overall formation, communication, execution, and completion of the organization’s strategic plan. Operating as an internal consultant, works directly with executive leadership to assess complex strategic business decisions and serves as an analytical and strategic thought partner to executives to proactively grow and develop service lines and business operating units. Supports the modernization and advancement of the healthcare delivery system through developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Applies healthcare discipline expertise to address strategic and operational priorities. Responsible for providing strategic planning, analysis, and service line planning support to leaders. In support of the Results Management Office manages complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives from the concept phase through implementation.
Responsibilities:
Leads the development of executive-chartered initiatives from concept phase through transition to operations using a combination of analytical, project management, change management, facilitation, and business management expertise
Participates of the execution of new business units, joint ventures, acquisitions, and services
Maintains a strong working knowledge of health care market trends and stay abreast of the evolving health care landscape to serve as a resource for strategic planning activities
Conducts strategic assessments and analysis such as environmental scans, competitor analysis, and market opportunity reports
Develops relationships, builds credibility, and influence individuals at all levels, internally and externally, as a trusted advisory and business professional
Adapts to and leads others through rapidly changing environments, manages competing priorities, and stays highly organized
Facilitates service line strategic planning in support of service line leaders
Navigates relationships, authority, and decision-making effectively within a matrixed organization
Anticipates problems and takes corrective action prior to completing the task
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or similar field preferred
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or similar field, or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, required
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting required
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in project management, strategic planning, and data analytics required
Background and experience with hospital operations required
