Position Summary
The Senior Decision Support Analyst provides advanced analytical, reporting, and decision support services with a primary focus on service line reporting, performance analysis, and operational insights. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and meaningful use of data within the Strata Decision Support System, including cost accounting, service line margin reporting, and operational analytics. The role collaborates closely with service line leaders, Finance, Strategy, and operational teams to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and continuous performance improvement.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Required)
- Master’s degree in Finance Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Preferred)
Experience
- Five (5) or more years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, cost accounting, or decision support within a hospital setting. (Required)
- Experience using or supporting enterprise-level decision support systems such as Strata. (Required)
- Experience with cost accounting, service line reporting, or profitability analysis. (Required)
- Experience presenting analytical results to senior leadership. (Required)
Certifications
- CPA, CHFP, or FHFMA (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills. (Required)
- Strong understanding of hospital financial operations, reimbursement, and service line performance drivers. (Required)
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Excel, Strata, and ERP platforms. (Required)
